Antwerp Zoo is a zoo that belongs to the KMDA. The zoo was opened on July 21, 1843 and is the oldest zoo in Belgium and one of the oldest zoos in the world. The zoo is located right next to the Antwerp Central Station on Queen Astrid Square in Antwerp. Popularly called this zoo also 'zoo' or 'Zoology' called. Today nearly 350 species are housed in the Antwerp zoo.
